Sophomore Eric Gun had yet another stellar performance on the world stage at the World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships in Goyang, Korea. Eric took home a gold medal in the Junior Team division, and a silver medal in the Junior Male Individual division! The victory was celebrated with his coach (and father!), Giduk Gun. Congratulations Eric!

OP basketball prides itself in skill development and an uncompromised work ethic that has allowed us success in the Union County Conference. Coach Daugherty just finished his 8th year as Head Coach, and has captured three UCC divisional titles in his tenure. Coach Daugherty believes profoundly in cultivating and growing the OP brotherhood. OP basketball strives to live out our mantra daily, "be a part of something bigger than yourself." Senior Alex Bohensky has been a member of the 4-Footed Leaders Puppy Raising Program since 2016, and has raised four German Shepherds for The Seeing Eye. In the puppy raising program, a puppy arrives at seven weeks old, and stays with you until about eighteen months old. He is responsible for training and obedience, attending weekly meetings, and going on outings with the dog to be sure it has a lot of exposure to become a guide dog. Tasha, the dog that Alex raised from March 2020 until September 2021, has completed her training, and is now a service dog for a blind man, who is also a veteran. "One of my favorite memories at OP was in Mrs. Michalski's tenth grade religion class when we sang "Only Jesus" and the 11th graders joined in with us. It was also a great moment when I found out that I made Varsity Baseball as a freshman."
